Mr. Sherman, who holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, has been in Real Estate for forty-two (42) years, specializing in Property Management and Syndications. He is on the Board of Directors of Harrison & Lear, Inc. and is President of the company.

Mr. Sherman has been designated a Certified Property Manager (CPM) by the Institute of Real Estate Management, is a member of Community Associations Institute, the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute of the National Association of Realtors, and is a Virginia Real Estate Broker. Mr. Sherman was a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve. He served for twelve (12) years on the Board of Trustees of Mary Immaculate Hospital. He was a member of the Virginia Living Museum Board of Trustees and formerly a member of the Warwick Rotary Club.

He and his wife, Molly, reside in Newport News. They have two children, Robert in San Diego, CA and Lindsey in Gloucester, VA.

Human Resource Manager and Regional Property Manager

Mrs. Cooke is the Regional Property Manager for the Hampton Roads Market. With 9 years of property management experience, and over 18 years of management experience, she joined Harrison & Lear, Inc. as an onsite property manager in 2009. Mrs. Cooke holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.

Mrs. Cooke has experience in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multi-family properties, and commercial properties in several Hampton Roads Cities. Her duties include preparing and reviewing financial statements, reviewing property budgets, negotiating and managing vendor contracts, management of construction projects and working with on-site teams.

Mrs. Cooke has been designated a Certified Leasing Professional (CLP®) and Registered Apartment Manager (RAM®) through The Peninsula Housing and Builders Association. She is also designated as an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®), and most recently a Certified Property Manager Candidate(CPM®C), through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®).

Mrs. Cooke served on the 2015 Executive Council for IREM Hampton Roads Chapter 39, as the Community Service Chair, and the 2016 Executive Council for IREM Hampton Roads Chapter 39, as the V.P. of Membership.

Mrs. Cooke was the recipient of the 2015 Sharon Hamilton-Taylor Accredited Resident Manager(ARM®)of the Year Award.

Mrs. Cooke also serves as the Human Resource Manager for Harrison & Lear, Inc.
